Corporate Package – Employer
The service covers the emergency air evacuation of the employer’s owners and workers while they are on their work shift or reside within the employer’s territory. Emergency interventions are subject to the PEMAU decision-making protocol. The evacuated person will be directed to the nearest appropriate hospital.

Intervention Fees Included:
When the employer chooses the intervention fees included option, they do not have to pay any additional fees during an emergency intervention to rescue a person covered by the PEMAU
Additional Intervention Fees:
When the employer chooses this option, the employer will have to pay an additional cost during an air medical rescue intervention. This cost represents 50% of the fees normally charged for flight hours between takeoff and the aircraft’s return to its departure site. An hourly rate of $2,500 per hour will be charged starting from the nearest available base, until its return to home base
A 24/24 monitoring service can also be offered for isolated employees or teams. The employer must have acquired the monitoring option.
Corporate Package – Recreational and Tourism Establishment
The service covers the emergency air evacuation of owners, employees, and visitors while they are on the company’s premises. Emergency interventions are subject to the PEMAU decision-making protocol. The evacuated person will be directed to the nearest appropriate hospital.
Transferability
All packages and included services are not transferable to another person or corporate entity.

It Can Happen at Any Time
During my first helicopter rescue mission in 2001 as a flight paramedic, I went to help a young forestry worker who had been in an ATV accident in the Lac Taureau area. We took charge of the patient, who had suffered a serious leg fracture. From that moment on, I understood just how important it is to have a rapidly available air ambulance service in such a situation.
While snowmobiling in the Mauricie region, a 60-year-old man got stuck on a lake. Trying to free himself on his own, he lost both his boots and decided to walk back to his cottage. Once home, neighbours called for help. The man suffered deep frostbite in both lower limbs.
The decision to call for an air ambulance was the best thing that could have happened to him. To increase his chances of receiving specialized care quickly, he was flown directly to a specialized center in Quebec City and was able to avoid having his feet amputated. After a few months of recovery, he was able to return to his regular activities.
Fast service and timely specialized care increase the chances of survival and reduce the risk of long-term effects.
