HS Vertical is the specialized rescue division of Helico Secours – coopérative de solidarité. We provide specialized rescue services, industrial training, prevention programs and emergency response solutions tailored to the needs of businesses and public organizations.

Ça peut arriver n’importe quand
Lors de ma première mission de sauvetage héliporté en 2001 à titre de paramédic de vol, je suis allé chercher un jeune travailleur forestier qui avait eu un accident de VTT dans le secteur du Lac Taureau. Nous avions pris en charge le patient atteint d’une fracture importante à une jambe. Dès cet instant j’ai compris à quel point il est important d’avoir un service d’hélicoptère ambulance disponible rapidement dans une telle situation.
Ça peut arriver à n’importe qui et n’importe quand.
En faisant une randonnée en motoneige en Mauricie, un homme de 60 ans s’enlise sur un lac. En voulant se défaire seul de la situation, il perd ses deux bottes et décide de retourner à son chalet à pied. Rendu chez lui, des voisins appellent les secours. L’homme souffre d’engelures profondes aux deux membres inférieurs.
La décision de demander l’aide d’un hélicoptère ambulance a été la meilleure chose pour lui. Afin d’augmenter ses chances de recevoir des soins spécialisés rapidement, il est transporté par hélicoptère directement vers un centre spécialisé de Québec et a pu éviter l’amputation de ses pieds. Après quelques mois de convalescence, il a pu retourner à ses activités régulières.
Un service rapide, des soins spécialisés à temps, augmente les chances de survie et diminue le risque de séquelles.
